Email, the free electronic mail

Electronic mail, often called e-mail, email, or simply mail, is a store-and-forward method of composing, sending, receiving and storing messages over electronic communication systems. The term "e-mail" (as a noun or verb) applies both to the Internet e-mail system based on the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and to X.400 systems, and to intranet systems allowing users within one organization to e-mail each other. Intranets may use the Internet protocols or X.400 protocols for internal e-mail service supporting workgroup collaboration. E-mail is often used to deliver bulk unsolicited messages, or "spam", but filter programs exist which can automatically delete some or most of these, depending on the situation. My Point of view:
If you are finding for an email address for your own personal use, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail is definitely your choices. They all have spam filters, and I personally prefer Yahoo! Mail as it is easier to organize and has enough storage(but who could use up over 5GB??!!). You could create files and drag and drop your messages in the individual files. It has a built in chat room inside too.(It's a new function) You could have a preview of your message at the bottom of the page too.
Well, Gmail has the biggest storage of all as it adds on and on and now Gmail has over 6GB. But it doesn't allow you to create any files to organize your messages and they only allow you to have "Starred" mails. It also contains a chat room and it could store your chats inside your email. Personally, I think that Gmail has the best spam filter.
Hotmail has the least amount of storage, but still it has up to 5GB of storage. Something similar to Yahoo! Mail, it has folders for you to organize your messages too. If you switch your Hotmail into the newer version, you could have a display of your message without clicking on the message and you can choose the layout: Bottom or on the right side.(Same as Yahoo! Mail again) That is the best feature I find in both Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail which Gmail doesn't have.

Pros:

• Businessman which is very busy could send their contracts to their clients in attachments through emails
• Contact your friends instantly
• Send the same thing to different people

Cons:

• Spam mails and virus through the use of emails
• Collect other people's personal information

After all, E-Mail is just another way of communication, but in a faster and simpler method.
